todavía es verano (lato jeszcze)

Już babie lato
srebrem nam błyśnie
falując lekko
z liściem na wietrze.
Już mgłą zasnute
są rześkie poranki,
a przecież lato jeszcze.

Już czerwień ubrała
pod lasem kalina,
strojna w korale,
niczym piękna dama.
Już drzewa delikatnie
złotem muśnięte
a przecież lato jeszcze.

Już jesień czeka
za progiem przyczajona,
barwiąc ogrody
ciepłymi odcieniami.
Już klekot bociani
zamilkł na łąkach,
a przecież lato jeszcze.

English version of the poem:

Already gossamer
will shine for us with silver
waving slightly
with a leaf in the wind.
Already covered with fog
are crisp mornings,
and yet it's still summer.

Already is wearing red
viburnum by the forest,
elegant in corals,
like a beautiful lady.
Already trees are gently
with gold, brushed
and yet it's still summer.

Already an autumn  waits,
lurking on the threshold,
coloring the gardens
with warm shades.
Already storks' clatter
fell silent in the meadows,
and yet it's still summer.
